About Sports Plex
Ken Meeks.
The man that started it all.
Ken started the legacy of Sports Plex in July of 84'. He bought 'Fountain of Youth' gym & it became Sport City, then Gold's Gym, & then The Plex "Fitness for Everybody", until it sold a few years ago.
Rick Brown started working for Ken at only 19 years old, folding towels & cleaning showers. They started Sports Plex in 87' in the Heart of Bossier. In 95' it moved into the shopping center on Airline Drive & has been here ever since. Without these guys we wouldn't be here.
It is now under new ownership by Chris Lafitte as of 2021. This gym has grit, determination, & endurance. Come by & check out why we are still here after 35+ years.
